The Old House Design Dilemma Exterior

Exterior house materials by the beach?

We are updating our 1990 rough stucco house near the beach and our budget is going to other areas. But with walls ripped up and new windows, we need to deal with the exterior now. What materials are cost effective and yet on trend? The least expensive is to just redo the rough stucco but, ew, I don't want to spend $15K doubling down on ugly. Any ideas?

For cheap. Stucco with some siding is probably your best bet.

Would love stone or brick there but that will be pricier

You can do stucco and use color blocking for lots of pizzazz.

This beach house has an industrial vibe you could do or do classic beach pastels.
