I’m sharing my experience. The pennisetums I divided then planted last fall and moved once again this May have took off nicely despite being divided at the wrong time. I guess things ’not going according to the book‘ can refer to good things like this in the horticulture world as well.

Lol I am not. Why are you assuming that I am seeking reassurance? Stop jumping to conclusions in a bad way. I don’t even have any more space in my garden to plant another one of these. I was just posting my experience so if other people decide to do this or have done it without knowing that it isn’t the end of the world. So I’m not allowed to even share my experience in this forum without being bashed on? I don’t understand why some people here are so nasty and unpleasant.

Mellow out, Heruga....that's a bit of an over reaction to what is essentially a completely inoffensive post :-)) Considering your frequent postings here with alarming reports of gloom and doom visiting your garden, developing a thicker skin may be advised.

As laceyvail notes, "sometimes you're just lucky." You squeaked by with this one but I would not recommend repeating.
