I agree with Bette. You might need a rectangular rug near the front door.

What do we think? Do we like this better? Or should there be a long runner with of the rug at the door facing this way?

I like it either way! At first I didn’t think it would look good moving the one by the door around, but seeing these pics, it looks fine. So it’s really just what you think works best. :)

I would get as big a rug as will fit for the entry. Same shape, but a little smaller and a coordinating runner for the hallway. I think a pattern would be more interesting for sure.
