Would look quite odd, and also shorten the depth of the toekick substantially. And where would you end it? Does the side of a cabinet respond differently to water than the front?

People have somehow had wood cabinets sitting on tile floors for centuries. Maybe wipe in front of them with a rag before you get to the wild part of your mopping...

I love the old-fashioned look of tile up a wall (or cabinet) but you are too far along to do it right. You need a coved floor tile that has its base integrated into the floor tiles and curves up to seamlessly span the horizontal-to-vertical transition.

And it's not really necessary. Don't use that much water to mop! :P

I’m with June- don’t flood the kitchen and you will be fine. I’ve seen some situations where a non matching toe was planned for but with these traditional shaker cabs stick with matching toe.

Tiled toe kicks and tiled baseboards are VERY dated. Leave it white. If it eventually becomes discoloured, give it a coat of paint.

Definitely NO to tile.

I’ve had wood cabinets on tile for 6 years without issue. I use a steam mop and periodically get down and clean with a damp cloth. Toe kicks do get dirty too.

I think tiling the wood toe kick makes perfect sense especially if the tile is basically white and will match the white vanity. Floors get wet in bathrooms. Tiling up the wood siding base protects the cabinet. Practical and attractive.

I had all my bathroom vanities floated above the floor with finished tiled floors under them. No need for a toe-kick.

Plenty of room to get the central vac wand under there and/or a mop.
