Tide Powder scent??

Today I purchased a new box of Tide Powder from Costco. 180 loads for $20 is a steal in comparison to buying at local grocers that charge the same for 80 loads. Anyways, Costco only carries the 'original scent', which I was not really looking forward to. However, this box has a different scent than I have smelled before. It is quite toned down, clean, and slightly herbal. Has anyone else noticed a scent change? Maybe I haven't used it enough recently to notice it. After washing 10 towels in hot and using 3 rinses, the scent was very faint. Consider me impressed!

No I sure haven’t smelled it lately. I know MaMaPinky said once they changed all the formulas in order to get the original scent you had to buy Mountain Spring.

It certainly is not Mountain Spring scent! That is by far my favorite! The April Fresh is a close second. However, this is not nearly as overwhelming and sweet like it was about 2 years ago or so.

Here is one post from that thread. More then one person said they had talked on the phone to P&G was was told the same thing. With the way they’ve been changing scents over the past few years it could have been tweaked since this old thread .....

Talked to P&G. They have flip flopped (for some odd reason we shall never understand) the original powder and mountain spring powder. So supposedly, in a perfect world, I was told to buy the mountain spring to now receive the original scent. In my way of thinking, original is original. If you change something that is supposed to be original, it can't be original anymore. Original carries no changes. Hence the word original. Just saying.
