Looks like fertilizer leaf tip burn to me. I‘d water more too, it may have compounded the fertilizer burn issue being under watered. A 1 gph drip emitter at 15 minutes of watering is 1/4 gallon of water. That type of drip emitter is made to run for several hours to give plants enough water. I’d also place more than one emitter at the edge of the soil line where you dug the planting hole so you can saturate the entire root ball. The trunk looks like it’s sun burned too. Get rid of the bamboo stick with the green tape, that was put there for when it’s transported to the nursery and your home. Once the tree is planted you can remove the stick so the trunk can sway in the wind and get more girth. Hope this helps.

I agree with Evdesert that it looks like fertilizer/salt burn. It's a big issue where I live because our water is full of salts (minerals) that get even more concentrated in the summer. And if you add synthetic fertilizer to the mix, you get even more salt burn on the leaves. The solution is to water more -- not more frequently but more deeply. Any chance you can water this tree with a hose or a soaker hose? I know it's a pain but it does the trick. And you can switch to gentler organic fertilizers, like fish and kelp emulsions.
