Definitely painting. Walls. Door. Keeping trim white. just still think it will look like it was put up too high on that wall. Wish we could raise up the floor to meet it. Lol

Painting is a good idea. But why not add a step or two ..

Add a step or two, as needed for easily entering the house. I would place a couple of potted plants nearby to indicate that this is the main entry. I don’t see a doorbell or a door knocker, but either of those might be an interesting touch. I am surprised to see coat hooks outside the front door.

@felizlady I like the idea of a step and plants. There is an outside door So I don’t want it to Look like another front door.

suggestions for putting a step in? wood? cement? I want it to look as finished as possible. There is concrete under the tile.

Wood will look more finished than cement. Well obviously if you finish it. But not a good idea to paint cement...

That is typical in most houses with breezeways of enclosed porches which were done later, etc, I don't think the height calls for 2 risers, but you can build a nice platform, trim out the riser, and on the surface, you can have tile, wood, etc. Something like this
