Sherwin Williams has a color matching app called ColorSnap. It works decently well in bright light.

are we supposed to know what this color looks like??

pretty sure not every showroom has the same color, so help us out here.

Even if you figure out the color it will look completely different in your own home. Just look for similar samples to try at home.

Just so happens I wanted to know the same . On 1/3/22 I was in RH showroom in Jacksonville FL. I asked designer the color. He said it’s a custom born by S-W called cashmere slate ( I think cashmere May refer to grade of paint but not sure). He suggested I go to S-W and ask them to check computer for RH custom color . He said the blend details should be listed in system regardless the S-W store you go to. Good luck!

I asked at the store if they had the color and they said that it was a custom blend but something from BM or SW has to come close!

We measured the last Restoration Paint Fandeck that they published. Closest colors to Slate are Anonymous from Sherwin Williams and Grey Mountain from Glidden which you can get from the Home Depot.

Those are the chips to pull if you want to see paint colors similar to the original Restoration Hardware Slate. Check with your SW because they may still be able to mix it.

PS there is a green undertone

Very pretty color. I have the original chip and there really isn't anything in any other brand that has the same nuance.

Which is probably why the Datacolor device didn't come up with a match. The color match feature on all of those devices can only search the app's library of paint colors. Can't find a match if a matching paint color doesn't exist.

Which is the case here because it's a custom color match to RH's Slate. I forget when RH retired their paint line but it's been a minute for sure.

I've been searching all over for the RH Galleries Grey they use on their exteriors. I held my SW paint deck up to the one in Dallas and it looked to somewhere in between SW Porpoise and SW Anonymous. Thank you for posting this! I think I have made out the numbers from your picture, but if you have one more clear please send! We want to paint our new modern mountian home build this color. Would love to see a pic of your compleded project with the color sometime too!

Formula for that color is from 2017. I remember for sure SW has had at least 1 reformulation. Very well could have been more than that in the last 6 years. Sometimes it's a doozy reformulation i.e. they have to issue new arch kits/fandecks. Sometimes reformulations happen an no one knows until something weird happens, like you can't get a stain color any more, etc.
