Yes that would be it! After it finishes in Dec/Jan I'll cut it back so it can have string growth for the spring.. does that sound like it will work? Thanks for letting me know and about the flowers opening when it's warm enough. Most day's are about 15-17C n there. It just looks like it's sitting there. I'll post pics when they start to open.

mine is in bud too (tiny ones). I brought it in just before first frost and it had developed buds during the fall. Now that it sits indoors at 65-77 F in good light I hope it will bloom soon, probably a month or two? I got it last fall and got just one bloom last spring.

I think less then a month being in a much warmer environment

First flower opened today! smells so nice

Nice. My Jasmine grandiflora got its first bloom a couple of days back. The polyanthum has white buds showing now but ways to go.

The first polyanthum flower bloomed yesterday. Not sure I like it. It is more of a stink than a fragrance. I hope that changes as it ages...The officinale/ grandiflora had a hint to the stink too but not as strong and the good fragrance is more prominent over time.

Dec 28 Sorry it's so dark lol

Nice. Can you smell it from a distance. I have to bury my nose in the cluster to get it. I have to admit that the stinky part of the smell is gone or reduced a lot. Comparatively, the sambac smell is nicer and stronger. Same can be said about officinale/grandiflora, although it's not as strong as sambac. I have collected seven Jasmines (not all are true Jasmines) so far and sambac is winning in the fragrance department so far.
