New Foyer - houzzer ideazz pleazz
Purchased a home, and I'd like to update many things.
***Houzzerz, pleazz help me with ideazz.
FOYER: What foyer flooring goes with a driftwood stained floor, that will be a bit classier than the current tile? This current tile feels too rustic for me. Notice the strange shape of the foyer flooring. I am befuddled! I am having the wood re-stained. Shall I put in herringbone wood to match and stain all of it? Should I choose a different flooring that will pop? Help y'allzzz!

MASTERPLAN: TRANSITIONAL (White/Greige update)
FLOORS: Update red oak floors to brown/greige like Bona Driftwood Water-Based, Traffic or Traffic HD Finish
WALLS: Greige monochromatic throughout - BM: Wish, Abalone, Balboa Mist, Barren Plain, or the like.

TRIM: Paint or replace (with PVC) all white: perhaps Benjamin Moore’s Chantilly Lace
DOORS: Paint to match the trim or Re-stain a slightly darker shade than the new floor color which will be like Bona Driftwood.
KITCHEN CABINETS: Paint White or Reface
BASEMENT BAR: Replace Floor with vinyl flooring brownish/grey.
Replace counters with white with light gold veining.
Replace backsplash with Del Sol Split Face Ledger.

I prefer large rectangle brick or herringbone pattern, grout-less, or a quite seem-less look. Perhaps white with veining (in a greige, light pewter, or light golden tone? Not sure though.

I used BM barren plain in my dining room, but when I started to paint living room with north facing windows and west windows from adjoining kitchen, it took on blue. I ended up using SW Agreeable Gray. It is quite neutral and goes with all tones of grey and beige. All woodwork is BM Decorators White.
The third photo shows the Barren Plain on the wall on the right. That area has a south facing window, so the color reads very close to the Agreeable Gray in adjoining living room.
Fourth photo is BM Edgecomb, but this room has a large skylight. Sorry, still working on the cabinet doors:)
Good luck! Paint selections are difficult, but I think you might want to find the foyer tile replacement prior to finalizing paint selection. The tile will be with you longer than the paint, so you have to love it.
