Window Treatments for High Clerestory Windows?

Hello,

I am looking to get some window coverings for some high up Clerestory Windows. I have done a little research on getting some remote controlled products that would lower and raise a shade, but the solar power options to charge the battery aren't great. Saw on Houzz some recommendations for solar shades that would use a long pole to operate, not sure where I could order those; key search words? Any other ideas?

Love the flag on the shelf. What are you thinking? The newer electric blinds and batteries aren't bad. They charge enough during the day to keep the battery topped off. Most times, if they crap out, its the motor or some other electrical component than the batter.

Solar shades are IMO the best for this type of application they control lheat and UV rays they also allow the view which in your case not an issue as for operating I am not sure it is all that important since you do have another window for light

What do you think about the pull cord for raising and lowering them? I don't think a long chain would look good. I assume they make some with a long pole that can raise and lower them?
