Can we see a better pic of the tired table and mirror? Is there an electrical outlet on that wall? How about a new mirror flanked by sconces and a simple floating shelf beneath?

Replacing the entry rug with a larger colorful one would be a great start. Then, consider replacing the glass vase with a lamp to provide warm ambient light.

It’s not bad at all what’s that closet for and do you need it?

How big of a change are you ok doing because ideally I’d blow out that closet and add a bigger door with more windows but if you need the space or don’t have the head for a Reno right now add a window above the door and get a fresh new console for the wntry

Get rid of the big vase - it's too big and looks like a knock-over hazard. Replace the rug with a colorful rug. Replace the frame to the left of the door with colorful art, and maybe paint walls with some color, preferably with a bit of warmth.
