I actually like them light, like you have right now. Since Spanish bungalows are non existant where I live, I decided to check them out to see what others did for the eves. Looks like there are a lot of different ways to paint them, but, I did see several light like yours and I liked the light the best. Here is a link with a lot of them, to look at. Thank you. A lot of these houses don’t actually have eaves, so it’s a little hard to compare. But these did inspire me to look up more pictures and I think a dark brown is what I’m looking for. So I would be grateful for a dark brown paint recommendation if anyone could provide me with one.

black would be ok.
actually, this one w/the black looks great! notice the eaves and gutters, and the windows.

a patina green would look great. (and be appropriate w/the style)

brown would just blend and not offer any contrast. the patina, the black, a soft blue, would all offer compliment to the browns

Are your windows framed in black? It looks like they are. From all the great photos Beth and Beverly shared, it seems like the eaves and windows should be the same.

RedRyder, BeverlyFLADeziner and Beth H., I cannot thank you enough for your kind attention. My windows are a very dark brown, almost black. I was thinking of making the gutters a very similar color and possibly matching the paint to the gutters. Do you think it would be overkill if the eaves match the windows and gutters?

And Beth H., I am planning to use saltillo or terracotta tile for my front patio / steps. I'm drooling over some that are made by Arto, but they're so expensive! Do you happen to know of a place in the L.A. area that might have some less expensive options?

I vote for bronze.

@Celery is right. The correct bronze will be a good match (yes, you want to match them). The house will look cohesive. 😊

Would you all mind if I asked you another question? I made a little mistake on my front door during my remodel. I used to have two small windows next to my front door that I hated:

... so I removed them when we redid the stucco, which turned out to be a mistake as now the door looks off center:

As a fix, I figured I could do something like this (the square is a mailbox):

Or maybe put the address at the top and throw in a wrought iron decorative piece (please forgive my scrawl):

Would either of these work? Or do you have a different suggestion? Thank you!
