Custom Wall Unit Pricing

I am absolutely in love with Cadovius wall units. The problem is vintage units are few and far between and hard to customize while new units are incredibly expensive. I came across the following plans (https://www.finewoodworking.com/membership/pdf/357935/011276032.pdf), but as someone with little to no woodworking experience this is far beyond my capabilities. Does anyone have a general idea of how much it would cost to make something like this? I don't need an exact figure, just wondering if I'm looking at $1000, $2000 or higher. If geography affects price, I'm located between Baltimore and DC.

I think that the quality wood would cost at least that much, without the labor.

Is walnut veneered plywood that expensive? I didn’t expect to have this done in solid walnut.

You didn't give the dimensions or number of units needed, but three-quarter inch cabinet grade walnut ply will run you around $120 to $150 per 4x8 sheet. A bit less for the 1/2" and 1/4". (YMMV) Add in the solid walnut for edging and then do the math for the square footage you'll need for your project, factor in hardware, finishing supplies and some miscellaneous and you will get a ballpark materials figure.
