My wife told me to clean up the basement. Rather than putting things away why not use the junk. Used are 1)broken pedal lift lid stainless steel garbage can. 2) Unused octagonal ceiling light junction box. 3) wire to box clamp 4) Grounded 3 prong wire from broken dryer. 5)Flood-light-bulb holder with socket and wires. 6) LED 3000k flood light.

Good reuse of that trash can. I do tend to save and reuse a lot of stuff. One of my favorite is to save the power cords from junked electrical appliances and fixtures. Then use them to create my own devices such as light fixtures for plants.

Example using a bathroom vanity bought for $2 from local recycle center:

Nice Light fixture. It even has directional light settings for aim-able flood lights. That should work very well.
