none of us want to look up what color marscapone (probably) and Fiddlehead green, and calacatta nuovo all look like together. don't forget your flooring. You should be providing a picture of those if you want us to help ;)

You've got plain old white subway tile in that photo. if that's what you like, grab some samples of them. remember, anything white you pick on the tile is going to make marscapone look creamier next to it.

Thank you - apologies that my thanks didn't post earlier! Kitchen won't exist until after demo and building, so working with a lot of imagination myself :) Really appreciate the advice! The green is just a deep emerald/forest green, and marscapone is creamy white. Will see if I can get creative/smarter about how to share :)

Congratulations on your new kitchen!

Based on your photo, you have a very significant paucity of storage in your kitchen.

Even if you have a pantry somewhere, you still need accessible cabinets and drawers right in the kitchen.

Given that your kitchen table is right there, I highly suggest that you forgo counter seating and use the peninsula for storage.

Also, you might consider trying to put the microwave in the cabinet above the counter freeing up more storage space below. Because those end cabinets at the corners of the counters are not very accessible. That is a better place for the microwave.

And where you have the microwave now is a great place for pull-out shelves/drawers for pots and pots.

On the other side, if you are not having counter seating you can have shallow cabinets with doors with vertical storage for trays and platters, baking trays and pans, and have cylindrical rods placed for storage of tablecloths and napkins so no ironing when you take them out.

I really like your plan. Love the green!!! I don’t know if this is the good you going with. But I would try to get something more. Something wow. Because you don’t have cabinets and there’s a lot of empty space it needs more of a wow factor. Regarding the backsplash I would wait for sure. No rush on that ever and you may as well be able to see it in person but I would probably go with something more detailed and handcrafted looking than a plain white subway. Even if it’s a subway tile. I also would make the peninsula into an island. Is there room to do so? It just opens up the space makes it more cohesive and inclusive to the rooms around
