Yes drapes. I’d do white but that’s a personal preference. And no u don’t need on the other wall. If you prefer it you can but not necessary

If you did curtains you would need to move your bed forward if you ever planned the close them. I think a silver grey or white would be pretty. I can’t tell if your white is like linen or snow.

I would do a pair of corded wall lamps or sconces on the gray area above the bed and floating shelves flanking the bed to keep with your minimalist style.

I thought about the wall lamps and floating bedside tables because they are awesome, but I can't have them and drapes. :(

I wouldn't use drapes in your space, based on the window placements and your minimalist design. Instead, I'd use longer end tables with larger lamps. They are both undersized and that's why it looks like something is missing. You could also add a simple bench along the adjacent wall under the windows, and artwork to the remaining walls.

I'd definitely add drapes on both windows. It currently looks unfinished to me. I don't like bold colors in a bedroom as I think they should be calm and restful so I would not paint an accent wall. If you want to bring in some color or black, do it through lamps or curtain rods.

Draperies will dampen the noise from all the hard surfaces. It will sound softer and cozier!

You'll need the shades to control the light, but drapery panels at the ends will soften the appearance.

Either drapery panels on the sides or Valances over the tops. Because the other windows are so short I'm thinking side panels will look like hunks of fabric stuck to the walls. (keep in mind I do not like floor length drapery panels in my own home) If you decide on valances start them at the ceiling for a cleaner look.

I would do a single panel on each side (such as shown in Beverly's mock-up) with the intention of having them only cover the longer windows that go lower when closed. My preference would be white, but you could go with a gray or other serene color. I like the softness of the drapes, and they keep things a little warmer and cozier in the cold months (assuming you live somewhere that has cold winters). I wouldn't worry about covering the shorter, higher windows on either wall with drapes.

Substantial lamps would look pretty, and so would sconces. I don't think the wall needs another color paint. So far, so good.

I always like drapes in bedrooms but rarely white ones unless sheers and really full I finf white drapes have a way of looking like sheets often. I love a wall of drapes behind a bed and in your case would be perfect. I really dislike drapery panels that could never cover the window if closed, they look cheap . I would do the wall behind the bed and leave the other windows with just the blinds since privacy there is not a big deal from what I see. You for sure need larger lamps and larger night tables.

Really a lot depends on how you want the room to look most of the day. Personally I would hate to cover up natural light as I enjoy a bright bedroom. So finding that balance would be hard

What I wish for is architects and builders that consider window treatments from the get go. This room is prime example. Really too many windows, too many sizes. Full length drapery is best unifier for this room. It would bring calmness too. Wish we could have seen this before you purchased those honeycomb. But alas I assume you spent a pretty penny on those and want to keep them. As mentioned earlier, your room needs larger night stands possibly “bachelor chest” size and taller lamps. That will help balance things too.

Thank you all for your suggestions! I purchased 2 larger nightstands and will buy ceiling to floor drapes hopefully today. I'm also going lamp shopping. I will post pictures when done. Thank you again!

p.s. My husband is not a fan of ceiling to floor drapes but has agreed it's whatever I want, We have them on our double slider and I really like them.

Not sure they'll be to your taste, but when I upgraded our bedside lamps a couple years ago (we have bachelor chests, as Flo suggested for you), I went with these Emilie 26" table lamps from Pottery Barn and absolutely love them. I think they would look great in your room, but so would many others. We used to have little bitty lamps on our bachelor chests, and hanging out on this forum helped me realize why they bothered me. Getting substantial lamps made a HUGE difference in the look and function of our reading lamps.

I think the floor to ceiling drapes will look amazing behind your bed. Maybe see if you can find something that is very similar in color to your walls to add the texture and softness but keep it looking soothing and serene.

I would have some custom work done. I would do floating walnut or teak wood bedside tables below each side window that goes to the edge of each windows casing. Then I would carry that same wood all the way across and up to the bottom casing on the center section to make a "headboard" if you will. This would all be made/installed to look like one piece. Then I would mount simple crisp white drapery panels on the outside of each window to add more texture. Last I would have some rattan lights hardwired to hang above each bedside table.

This is a very rough mock up obviously but to give you an idea. Lights would match just showing options.

You have great windows in that room and I would show them off. The panels would also go on the windows to the side of the bed.

Yes, but consider hanging the panels behind your headboard, leaving the side windows unadorned.

Even though light is nice, we mostly just sleep in our bedroom so keep the drapes closed. We have light blocking shades covered by light blocking lined drapes. We live on a busy road, so the lined drapes block a bit of the noise too. YMMV depending on what's outside your room. The blinds will be the best sound dampers. I once lived in an apt. where I had to have the bed up against a bay window that had aluminum blinds. I think they magnified the noise! I lived on a quiet street but on the weekends my neighbors always put out their recycling with the metal and glass, early in the morning when I was trying to sleep in. And then when the wind blew, the leaky windows would rattle. Drapes helped insulate temps too.
