the table and chairs, AND the rug............look too small for the space, and the rug color isn't good, or the right size, either. And it looks a wee bit blah.

Lose the curtains, try a kilim or boho and nobody can advise a size minus dimensions of table, and floor space.

Thanks Jan! Indeed I wasn’t convinced at all so I have tried a new combination, see below
What do you think? I’m also thinking to put this art instead of the mirror and remove the table that was there.
    Thank you for your thoughts

You bring light into a space with actual lighting . The rug does nothing for the space , the table is not a good choice for the space and I have to say the chairs are very unusual and not in a good way.The cabinet between the windows looks like a bedroom or office cabinet so what is in there ? Mirrors need to reflect something worth seeing twice and all those little things on the console are just clutter. IMO you need to get a larger table, a bigger rug and that rug should have some color since the LR is dark and full of color with the art. Honestly those chairs have to go.

Thank you Patricia! See below some pictures of the actual space to give you an idea of the whole space.

The shape of chairs doesn't bother me. The MATCH to the table does. Rug is tooooo small and not that one.You need a minimum of 36 inches beyond the chairs What are the strange white things in the corners, especially back side of peninsula??

Try the art you have over the sectional over the console. instead Paint the dry brown gray bar cabinet a bold glossy teal. Forget all the rugs you are currently showing...............ALL TOO SMALL. you can walk on rugs, dear. No CURTAINS. Consider painting JUST those tow doors to black

Hi Jan, the table is oval maybe it looks square on the picture ?
The white things is the heater ☺️
Does the cabinet between the two windows bother you?

Sorry Jan you are you referring to the first pictures or the last ones I shared? So I try the art on the blue wall on the top of the console , but what to do on the blue wall?

I'm saying TRADE the two pictures and their spaces................The large you were planning goes ovver the sectional. BRIGHTER....

I‘d add your art there in a minute and would keep the clean lines - skip a rug. Highly suggest instead a great chandelier and hand made layered pieces of pottery as a centrepiece

Hi Jan, the art of two big go hang above the sectional unless half of it will be covered by the sofa..
Thank you Maureen, so where should the art go and how to place the table in the room to have this look?

The large art piece you placed on the floor as an example would be perfect. Try your table horizontally - the sight line from living room will be improved and may better fill the space/feel more substantial and interesting. Adding a chandelier will really help as well visually, defining the dining area and for ambience.
