Suggestions for an entry and foyer for a home with a wall of windows?

Our main entrance is over our elevated front patio, through a pair of French doors that drops right into the living/dining area. We would like to create a small foyer to create some separation between the entry and the living space (place to lay a floor mat and discretely store shoes after entering from the rain and elements). The front of the house has a wall of windows that we'd like to preserve as much of the light and openness as possible. The French doors are about 63" wide and there is about 54" of overhang from the current roof (if we don't need to change the current roof line, great, but I'm open to thoughts on how practical it would be to raise/extend the roof). Any ideas and suggestions to create a bump-out and/or other entry solutions would be appreciated!

Wow, I’m not trying to be snarky, but I think invest in a really good outdoor rug to clean feet on and remove shoes, then just go put your shoes away. A little extra trouble but totally worth it. You have an incredible view, and there would not be anything I would do to obstruct that. That wall of windows, and really cool patio ... AMAZING.

You could actually build another sun room with a "greenhouse" roof atop your elevated front patio in front of the existing front entry door and dining room.

Do you have another door your family can come in through? That’s where I would focus entry solutions.

For this area, which would be entry for guests mostly, i would have a small bench with a shelf under it for shoes and call it a day.

This looks like a patio access door converted to an entry door.

Perhaps the door on the far wall with footwear nearby was the original entry door.

In any case, I'd suggest the same as the above post.
