HERS testing - failed

We have a newly renovated condo with new ducting and furnace & condenser in SoCal. The furnace wasn't working properly and it turned out it was poorly installed. Now we have found out that at the back of the furnace, there's a large gap that wasn't sealed. The contractor sent someone to seal it. The contractor also sent someone to do HERS testing on our 3ton system. The system was pressurized with 25 Pascale and the air leakage was 195 CFM. Per the tech, the leakage should be 180. Is this correct? I'm not really convinced about the test or the results since it's the contractor's own guys that he sent. Please help me understand the results and provide me with an explanation how this should be done. Also, any referrals to a reputable HERS testing company in LA area would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

@KS 1917 I hope you were able to find the right contractor for inspections.
I came across your older post ( while I was searching for floating floors) regarding your plan to install PanTims Engineered floor. Did you float the floors? Do you like how it feels / looks and how it’s holding up? Please share the floor photos, I am looking into floating same flooring and trying to reach a decision ASAP. Thanks

OP: Pretty much all of California requires HVAC installations (new and replacement) to meet HERS requirements. The standards changed for 2020 - when was your system installed? If the original install failed this test, the contractor needs to fix it, especially if they replaced the ductwork. Installers are required to do this and should have the equipment to do it properly. If he says no, a call to your local inspection office is needed - he could lose his license if his installations fail to meet the standards.
