Hi everyone. We have a tiny basement (400 SF) with a LOT of doors, that we've turned into a movie room. We had a designer come out and help us with the layout, and we came up with the idea of mounting the TV on an articulating arm in front of a storage door. We don't need access to that space often, but we have literally no other storage in our basement aside from under the stairs, so maintaining access to it was crucial. It's also where our components are located for the TV. The TV swings out almost 90 degrees to allow us access when we need it.

The photo below is the TV in its final position. We've since mounted a curtain rod and covered the wall with black velvet curtains so you can't see the wall or door at all, and it looks good. But I would like to do something a bit...well, cooler. I was trying to come up with other ideas for covering up the door but maintaining access. A few ideas include vertical shiplap, or creating a "fake" wall in front of our current wall with decorated panels (some sort of wood or stone facade). If any one has any other ideas (that won't cost us a fortune), I'd love to hear!
