Help poor cement work by contractors!

last modified: 5 years ago

Hi- I have a newly built home. Of course backyard work needs to be done. So I hired contractors to place cement to the side on my home. Many issues occurred, one major issue that I need some advice on. As well as minor ones. All which I have contacted the contractor and their version of correction.

okay first thing. My HVAC unit was pooling water into it since the cement was sloping downward towards my unit. Their version of correcting it was buying cheaply “fast drying” cement which look like crap! Then placing my HVAC unit on wet freaking cement (Which they didn’t tell me) I get home and realize the cement is still wet! I contacted the contractors to notify them this must be a mistake, their response was we do this basically for extra securement. WTF?! So of course I call HVAC company’s and they tell me that’s a big no, it will unlevel the HVAC unit causing other issues.

A contractor contacts me rudely ( who wasn’t even on the site tells me I need to pay the remainder balance as they did their job. I told him my unit is on wet cement he ignored me and continue to tell me whatever I choose to have HVAC contractors that’s on me and that my unit is placed on 2x4s and will be bolted down when dried. I again told him clearly it is on wet cement snapped a photo and sent it to him. His response I will call you back.

damages occurred to my stucco with their version of fixing and also concrete all over my new fence

check the photos, what do you guys think? Am I asking to much?
