I don't know why there is no Like thing I can select. I am looking at this on a phone. I have not seen a picture of this plant blooming before It looks like a torpedo.

    How big is this plant?

They sure are pretty when they are young. With maturity, a different looking plant though just as beautiful. I like the arching leaves.

This plant is outside. I am inside after being outside, shivering uncontrollably under an electric blanket. Zone 10 is looking just fine.

Just came on and Wow. Much bigger and longer leaves than I imagined. My Cleopatra sprouted a root like no other I ever seen. Long (8 - 10 inches) about 1-1/2 inch thick pure white straight down and lifting the plant out of the pot twice. Had to remove it and reverse it and grow on it's own. Tip is now turning green while exposed to light. Waiting to see what it develops into.

That root is all the way down to the bottom of the pot. It does have a few tiny roots along the way.

Here's the picture of it de-potted the first time. Re-potted into a deeper pot and it grew longer and started to lift up the plant again.

Jody, Do you know it yours has such large powerful roots like this or is this from the 'Super Phosphate' and Alfalfa I'm using?

What surprises me is I kept thinking that this plant would grow similar to S. kirkii Silver Blue. Which is a space hog.

Russ asked me about this plant and nowhere does it show a grown specimen.

    How old is your plant?

Only thing I could come up with was; "Sansevieria ‘Cleopatra’, a complex hybrid of Sansevieria 'Phupamorn delight' (S. elliptica cv 'Horwood' x S. francisii) x Sansevieria rodhesiana".

    S. Phupamorn Delight looks almost exactly like S. Cleopatra.

Thank you Jody for showing yours and all you did.

That is one gorgeous Cleopatra! I have nothing in particular to contribute to this discussion, except to say that I am envious. Cleopatra is one of my very favorite Sans. So far, I have been unable to find one locally (which would be my preferred way to buy it right now), but....not giving up hope. They are even tough to find online from reliable growers.

But yours is gorgeous. I have a Kirkii pulchra coppertone I bought several years ago....didn't do much at the beginning but ever so gradually grew to be a beauty like your Cleopatra. I am patiently waiting until I find a Cleopatra that I can hopefully nurture into something as pretty and healthy as you have. Congratulations and -- enjoy that plant!
