Wall decor behind a colorful cabinet

I found this really pretty but colorful cabinet that I love! It looks great in the foyer, but Im having a hard time finding something that I can put on the wall above it. I want to replace the mirrors as according to Feng Shui, mirror right in front of entry door is not recommended. Would a Grasscloth wall paper work?

Everything seems to clash with the bright colors of the cabinet. I would love to hear some ideas from others as to how to add wall decor without making it look too busy or gordy.

thank you

Play up the orchid with a new pot in wood or deep red. If one orchid doesn't have enough presence. buy two more. Alternatively, buy a couple new green houseplants to flank the orchid. Remove the round mirrors and other knickknacks.

Can you relocate the floor plants or reduce to one? I think the cabinet would be better centered on the wall with a single mirror and maybe a lamp.

The cabinet looks too squat for that space - it might be that the plants are too large and are throwing off the look. If you can, get taller legs, so that the top of the cabinet is closer to the top of the wainscoting. Then, I'd get a red pot for your orchid, and add a lamp and a pretty glass bowl. With those changes I don't think you'll need anything on the wall - if it looks empty, maybe a macrame piece would be nice.

Beautiful chest. I would like to see a picture of the chest centered on the wall without the plants. I am a plant lover but looks like the plants are scootched too much in the corner. Maybe a smaller plant (like a fern or pothos) on the chest with a lamp or candle. Above the chest I think something rectangular or square...mirror or art.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Orchid is actually a real plant and not permanently placed there. I can place a larger piece of art there, bu the walls would still need something.
@er62 I did have a large round mirror just like you showed in pic 1. But the whole problem is that I do not want to place a mirror there.

A B&W art looks good. I can also remove the plants from there and center the cabinet. Also raising the legs is a good idea too.

    Thank you

Looks much better, but wondering if the art is the best choice. I think horizontal or square, vibrant art or a mirror might better complement the chest and adding brass or similar colors would work really welll.
