Could you please post a fully-measured layout of the space (key measurements are missing)?

Does the sketch include all rooms on the floor?

Could you please tell us about you and your family and how you plant to use your Kitchen?

Please post a fully-measured layout of the space under consideration and a sketch of the entire floor. Both can be either hand-drawn, computer generated, or drawn up with computer/app tools.

By "fully-measured", we mean a layout with the widths of each wall/window/door/doorway and the distances between each wall/window/door/doorway labeled. See a sample below. If something cannot be moved or changed, label it precisely on your layout (see post in sample) and tell us why it cannot be moved/changed -- we may have some ideas for you.

The sketch of the entire floor lets us see how the Kitchen relates to the rest of the home. It doesn't have to be to-scale, but it should accurately show how the rooms relate to each other and should include all interior & exterior doors. In addition, it will help us see how traffic flows in, around, and through the Kitchen. Label the front entry and family entry. The family entry is usually a garage or side entry, but it might not be. It's helpful to know which door you use to bring in groceries.

Regardless of how you draw it up (by hand, computer, etc.), please be sure all measurements are labeled. (Note: Computer generated layouts often lack key measurements and, sometimes, measure to/from things like the middle of a wall or the middle of a window. Neither are useful. Measure each item and the distances between each item.)

• Tell us about you and your family and how you plan to use your Kitchen. All-adults? Empty Nesters? Children (now or in the future)?
• What appliances (& their sizes) do you plan to have?
• Where are you flexible? Can walls/windows/doors/doorways change (move, change size, add, delete)?
• Do you have a basement under the Kitchen or are you on a slab?

Here it is

This is what it designer created but we are wondering if we can do something without moving the hvac and bathroom for a walk in pantry

What are the various measurements on the sink wall? Window sizes? Distances between walls, windows, etc?

Do the 11'6" & 8'6" include the entire wall? Do they include the thickness of the wall you took down?

We are planning on moving the windows in the kitchen and formal dining room. The small left one is above our current sink. And the formal dining is a standard window

11’6 and 8’6 is the length of the back wall. And the 18’6” is our current kitchen space. The dotted line between 11” 6and 8’6 is where the original wall was we just removed

They did not include the thickness of the wall we took down. Here is another design option, but for me the goal is not a large pantry, I want seating for my kids and work space to display cakes, appetizers and snacks. But can’t figure out how to configure that.

This is what our bathroom currently looks like, but design wise I don’t like the sink on the peninsula.

Sorry it took so long...work has gotten intensive. Anyway, here's an idea:

Sink/Range wall is 3" deeper than standard:

• 27"D base cabinets
• 15"D upper cabinets
• 28.5"D counters

14" to 15" deep uppers are widely available.

For base cabinets, if you cannot get them in your cabinet line or they're not in the budget, pull the base cabinets out 3" from the wall when they're installed. You won't have the advantage of extra storage, but you will have the advantage of deeper counter workspace.

Work Zones:

Thanks so much. We are going to go with the walk in pantry design, where we move the bathroom over a bit. We are trying to decide how big to make our kitchcen sink window. The biggest we can go is 46 inches to keep it centered on the wall, or we can do up to 60, but it will be more to the right side.
