You’re welcome. The color of my tiles is called Heather. It’s a variable gray, but sometimes I see a green undertone, sometimes blue. I ordered samples from the company before making a decision.

I forgot to mention, it’s a crackle tile though they offer a non-crackle.

Crackle tiles are generally not recommended for a shower, though the company says it can be used for that application if it’s sealed periodically.

Wow thank you so much for the details! We’re doing a full renovation and so overwhelmed I’ve reached that point where I don’t want to make any more decisions lol we went to a tile shop to just have a look and see ended up loving a green showered display, I’ll attach a photo, however they have it 1/2 white and 1/2 green I would want a full green. Husband is concerned it would be too dark. Rest of bathroom for us would prob be white marble hexagon floor. I’ll attach photo of bathroom if you’re interested; and if I’ve talked your ear off and you want to runaway feel free so do I hahhaa

I love the green tiles. With the right lighting and light colored floor and ceiling, I don’t think it would be too dark. Would the tile extend beyond the shower as shown in your photo?

Before buying marble floor tiles for the shower, search for “marble shower floor” on this site and read some of the horror stories. With high quality marble and proper installation, it may not be a problem but you may want to consider a marble look porcelain instead.

Thanks beanie! No it would not extend, I’m picturing wainscoating around the perimeter. I’ll attach a photo which has been my inspo pic bc I love the openness of the glass shower. Thanks for letting me know about the marble horror stories I’ll have to do some research!! Do you have other pics of your completed project? Would love to see ! :)

Julie - The photo I first uploaded is almost the whole room, haha! I live in a former schoolhouse circa 1890 and converted part of the attic into a small bedroom and tiny bathroom. The conversion was done many years ago but the bathroom was never finished until recently. The niche over the tub still needs glass shelves and the walls need artwork.

Note the grab bars; two in the tub (a custom order) and two on the walls. This is the best decision I made and one that I would recommend to anyone of any age. (Whenever I see freestanding tubs in photos or showrooms, I can’t figure out how I’d get in and out.) The towel rack is a low-end electric warmer but works quite well, much to my surprise. There’s a Fantech led light/fan combo in the ceiling with a dimmer/timer switch. As I’m writing this, I realized that I learned about all these nifty features by reading gardenweb/Houzz.

If you’re looking for the sink, it’s a few feet away in the adjacent bedroom. Most people would frown on this set up, but it works for me. My main bathroom is downstairs and I plan to redo it, replacing an old tub with a walk-in shower. But I’m taking a break from construction for a while.
