The tiles in this bathroom are ceramic tile. Tile is my material of choice for a bathroom. Hard wood and Cork can be done but best to consider the cleaning habits of the users.

Most cork flooring I have seen will absorb water. Most likely a bad idea for your bathroom

Gorgeous bath space! Have you considered stained glass for window treatments? Here are a few examples:

Cork actually works wonderfully in a bathroom, it does not soak up water. Cork flooring is protected with polyurethane which protects the cork from water spills or stains. Cork flooring is a warmer, more comfortable floor than ceramic tile. If a small amount of water gets onto the floor (stepping out of a shower for example), just wipe it up. This is the same as any other natural floor - you don't want water pooling on it. Another great option for cork flooring is Cork Mosaic (made in North America). Cork mosaic is recommended for areas where there are heavy amounts of water.

Thanks for info on cork in wet areas. Of course it was in common use in kitchens in the 50s and I see it wearing well.
