A frosted film could be applied, or you could have the glass replaced with a frosted, or seeded, rain look, etc. Film would be the cheapest route of course.

Looks like it is high enough and unless your neighbor has a second floor window looking directly in it I would be inclined to roll with it as is if you do not want to use a blind or whatnot. I personally have a cellular blind on my bathroom window.

We put a frosted film on the window in our shower. It provides privacy but allows in light. We’re really happy with it.

+1. Blinds are always a bit of a PITB in bathrooms. Better suited with window obscuring film if you even think there is a privacy issue. Unless your neighbors are elevated above you, not sure there is really much of a privacy concern there based on the height of the window.

Too bad you feel that way about blinds. I would choose a color from within the horizontal strip of tile running inside the stall and have a custom-made, split (one blind for each half of the entire window) set of thin, metal blinds, putting the pulls on the outer portions and the light regulators to the inside. I think this would visually pick up and compliment that tile strip in the shower, balance that part of the room and finish that modern feel.

IMO high enough to not really need anything IMO the frosted film look cheap and honestly unless as mentioned some one can see into the space I would just leave it

I bought window film at WallPops on line and it does not look cheap at all.

I would leave it uncovered unless someone could really see in. None of our bathrooms have a covering, but they are on our second floor. They were built high so no one can see in.

Put a fun, bright colored patterned curtain over it. Just flat panels. I really love curtains for a tub, and when they go away I find most bathrooms really need a little zing factor that you can get with curtains....

Hi Jason I think knowing how costly renovations are I would keep it very simple and adorable by a contrast color of paint to frame the window out. Just paint either darker than your wall or pull a color out of the accent tile in shower

Agree with Lynne G. The window needs something... as it presents now in your picture it looks sterile and undecorated like an unoccupied room. Add some dash!

If you could replace the glass with something that has a horizontal line, to echo the shower tiles, I think it would be really cool.

Although my bathroom windows are too high for someone to see in, I put a piece of stained glass in one side of the window for decoration. This would obscure anyone from seeing in. You could use a larger piece or 2 complimentary pieces for each side of the window. Hung with command hook.

I know this is a tad outdated, but replace with block glass, wouldn't take many,(as t is a smaller window) obscures any real "see thru" issues and still lets all the light in without having to hang up,well,...anything.

You have done such a nice job with the shower. I suggest you complete the look and replace the window with a glass block window. You could even call a glass prefabricator and design a unique pattern to accent the custom look you have already implemented. It would look great, provide privacy, allow natural light, and avoid the fuss and upkeep of fabric, blinds and shutters in a steamy environment.

Just a plain frost on the glass. Or put a modern shelf under the window and add some plants that like the shower moisture and are tall enough to cover most of the window. Or you could hang something on the outside of the window like a roll of bamboo that would let light in but still provide some privacy.

You have a nice, clean lined , modern bath. No blinds, shutters or frilly designs. Ugh!

Go outside [at night] near your lot line, get up on a ladder and how much do you see inside?

Keep ability to open the window for fresh air.

Privacy depends on in/outside view.

Hanging greenery would limit outside looking in.

Putting a towel rack or bench or something under window might help.

I too would not favor a cutesy curtain or blinds. For privacy, yet allowing light to stream through, translucent static or contact type paper suggested above comes in many options and qualities. There are other brands that look like stained glass & you might find one with blues to blend with the tile in your beautiful new shower. Another choice is a permanent etching chemical that can be purchased at craft stores. A plant shelf may bring additional interest to the window if the shower door does not open to the shelf with potential head bumping. So many plants love humidity and they'd love that along with the filtered light. Look online for a plethora of choices.

If you must cover it, try a plastic shower curtain cut to size.

Trim around the window? I would personally have an opaque custom shade made to fit inside the window, same color as the wall. It looks unfinished right now, and the shade does not need to be down all the time. I would not replace with glass block, nice to be able to open a window.

If you don’t need the light from the window, you could put a piece of artwork or a mirror . We have a tiny awkward window in our master bath. After we renovated the bathroom , I found an antique mirror that covered the window. I am very happy with the way it looks.

I think the bamboo rolled shade is a great idea. Would look great with that tile pattern.

Leave it as is or replace the glass with frosted glass. It is so close to the shower that any window covering would look weird.

Wallpaper For Windows frosted window film. Adheres just using water. Can be removed anytime. I put that on our bathroom window for privacy almost 20 years ago and it’s still perfect. Easy and inexpensive too.

We covered two in-shower windows with rain glass. It gives complete privacy but is a beautiful way to allow the sunshine in.

Just looked on Amazon for " rain glass window " + came up with several amazing choices ... mostly privacy static film clings, so are easy to cut-to-size + install.

Look for UV Blocking, Glare Control.

Can use on any house. garage, shed, on plexiglass-type dividers, etc window where you want privacy.

That’s actually a very nice looking solution.

I used Artscape window film for our clear full sidelights (the dog was constantly barking at every person/animal/object that passed by) - it’s held up great, even with direct southwest exposure.

Just a note about the flat panel curtains I recommended... when I put those up in my house I used tension rods (no nails/screw/damage) and curtain rings that have clips on the end to clip the fabric to. The clips slide easy, and no need to see pockets... and, cheap and easy enough that the fabric can be changed out as tastes and room colors change...

wenas5, when the light comes in, it sparkles because of the texture in the pebbles. And it's adheres with just water too. Very happy with it!
