Hi, is that not a drain in the wall next to the hot and cold water connections?

That’s a washer standpipe in the wall in those recessed utility boxes. The other looks like a sad attempt at installing a bathroom fan.

I was refering to no drain on floor, to cover pasable leaks when a washer breaks.. With the love of front loaders. this scares me

How are frontloaders a factor?

Many front loaders don’t work so well on second floors anyhow. Too much shaking. I think they make a pad for them to stand on, though. There are also pans to put under a washer that can catch a small amount of leaked water. Front loaders are not any more prone to leaks than a top loader. The culprit is almost always the supply lines. Use braided supply lines, that you shut off after use. Replace them every 2 years. 99.9% of leak chances are now gone.

And that’s reason #1 (of many) why those built in washing machines are a terrible idea. You need to access the valves and lines quite regularly.

How high is the window from the floor? Most standard top-loaders are around 42" to 45" tall. Most LG (for example) front-load washers are 39" tall.

How much space is there between the wall with the sink and the floor vent. Standard appliances are 27" wide. Compact are 24" wide.

Is there a connection for a dryer? I see an outlet but unless there's a 240 volt outlet you won't be able to use an electric dryer.

Maybe the wall vent cover hides a dryer vent?

Front loading washing machines were prone to vibration when they first came out. The new versions - at least LG - have much better counterbalancing. I replaced an older LG front load with a new one and the difference was amazing.

I love my LG front loader, bought second-hand about 8 years ago. It does dribble a bit sometimes, probably something to do clothes getting stuck in the door seal.

I live in a high rise so a leak from the washing machine would be catastrophic as it would flood all the units below me.

I installed a Bosch unit which has safeguards built in - there is a double layered "hose" and it shuts off automatically if water is sensed outside the machine. It also has a pan that would catch any drips.

All of my watery appliances have water alarms installed - the dishwasher as well as the line for the refrigerator ice maker. They automatically shut off and also have pans to catch water. I have a strange HVAC system that has a central water line and that also has a water alarm turning it off to prevent any leaks.

I don't notice any excess vibrations when my machines are turned on.

My units were installed years after my condo was originally built and didn't originally have in-unit washer/dryers. Mine just use one of the normal drains from my bathroom - I think it ties into my shower drain but I'm not sure.

That vent cover looks like an air admittance valve.

Gas or electric dryer? I don't see a receptacle or a gas line.
