Help Selecting Kitchen Lighting

Please help selecting complimenting lighting for kitchen island and perhaps a chandelier type to replace the ceiling fan over my table. Would these two lights compete or will they look ok? Can the last picture work?

I would simplify the design of your selection.

I'd consider replacing the scrolly barstools

Not sure what flooring is under the dining table, but if possible and you have the room, I might consider turning the table on the diagonal.

Beverly, that’s a great look. Floors are the same tile floor. The rug runner is just there one day for the rain.

Would you suggest the same lights in both areas or different? I just added those sconces so I’m inclined to keep them. Would they lineup same height?

I must replace the Barstools. Not sure what to add just yet.

    Future changes (not now)
    Stainless appliances
    White countertop
    New knobs and pulls (orb)
I am NOT painting my cabinets

Critical task is finding a way to balance the green(seafoam) curtains with this room with new paint. This color is doing nothing for the room.

Colleen, so are there fixtures that coordinate with the sconces? Go with that instead.

All the fixtures must play nice together. The sconces are leaning a bit traditional which is OK. I especially like shades on the fixtures because it provides a good quality of light.

    I LOVE the sconces.

Can you share what would work? Something with shades? No shades? No candelabra huh? Hmmm no idea what would make all play nice.

Also...am I allowed to ask your thought on a great paint color? This is Manchester tan, going for more white/creme to help all blend. Kitchen is south facing.

Beverly, I would not want to add modern lighting, being you mentioned the sconces appear to be on the modern side. Not sure if there is a happy medium :)

Colleen, Beverly said they lean more traditional, not modern.

2pups, you are right. My error :). Traditional is good!

    houzz://user/beverlyfladeziner,
Beverlyfladeziner, I would love to know your suggestions on the lighting to fix this kitchen. As asked, the link is above to the manufacturer of the wall sconces. For what it is worth, if I had to change them out for the right look all around with island lighting and chandelier, I would consider that so hearing what you think would look best, might be first.
Also, do you think a white paint would work to brighten the room? 4000k led lights are shipped and hope that makes a difference? I personally loved my kitchen and now can’t stomach the colors selected between the panels and paint. Would LOVE your guidance.

What is the size of the island? and the size of the table?

Here is the problem. You selected a sconce that has absolutely no additional items in a collection. So there is nothing out there specifically designed to match this fixture.

I did find some items that might complement this design for the kitchen island and the dining table. However none of them come with the linen shades. Those would have to be purchased as additional items. I've done my best to illustrate how the shades would look once added to the fixture.

Beverly, thank you for posting these options. I feel (even tho I’m not the pro) that these might be too heavy for my taste in this room. As much as they look beautiful, and different, I worry it’s to heavy. I appreciate your help, a lot! Perhaps I start over and consider changing the sconces to a different style, being they could be a challenge to match up. Could I add pieces that are lighter in appearance? Something that doesn’t compete so much with the view? Are glass/pendant lighting an option over the island?

I think either of these fixtures would look very nice in your room.

Ok well when you do that...Wow, that is beautiful! I will check how long this can hang. But now what I worry about is both the island lighting and dining lighting being a lot for the room? No?

Thanks BevErly! Could all work? Still working on selecting a fixture and wondering if the candle style chandelier can work too?
