We are a couple of months away from completing our new home build and need to order appliances pronto. I'm struggling with settling on a refrigerator brand that I have confidence in, from a reliability standpoint. We are looking at black stainless appliances, preferably. I'm budgeting about $3500 for a counter-depth, french door refrigerator (with external water/ice dispenser), 36" wide.
I am currently considering Whirlpool, KitchenAid, and GE (LG was on the list but I'm turned off by their compressor issues and class action suit stemming from said issues).
Can anyone offer their opinions on their experiences and share some advice/recommendations?
I'm steadily reading reviews, etc. Additional input is welcomed! TIA
