Negotiating Pool Construction Costs (Northeastern US)

Hello. Considering a new inground pool. I understand they are in high demand right now and thus the prices are higher than they were several years ago. How can you negotiate the price? We're doing a concrete pool with a heater which is essentially needed for extended pool use in the northeast. Thanks in advance.

I never negotiate prices. Just bought a used truck and the Ford dealer doesn't negotiate anymore either. Pay up or move on please. He's selling trucks and I've got a month-long backlog and I'm not interested in making it two.

If you can get on the list to have one installed and can afford to put in a pool consider that a negotiated win. We were fortunate to get our pool installed last April. We had started the process and signed the contract before Christmas. The wait list now is almost two years they don’t need to negotiate. Here in the midwest due to COVID the permit process was long and almost derailed having a working pool by summer.
