I would like some advice re the purchase of new window coverings for two very large windows and a patio door. The windows are eight feet wide, 40" high, and seven inches apart. The patio door is next to one of the windows. My house is of Colonial design so I have squares in all the windows (and door). One of the windows is in the breakfast room and the other in the adjacent family room. (I have pleated shades in kitchen bay window. Not involved in this matter.) These large windows let in a tremendous amount of bright afternoon sun most of the year which is a huge consideration. I presently have heavy black-out pleated shades. (cranberry colored fabric lined with white fabric). QUESTION: What type of window covering would you suggest, especially in terms of resale? I assume blinds are not being used at this time. Thanks!
