Your lighting should all be LEDs 4000K not higher K value and I would try something that works better with the counter Why not choose a color SW recommends .

I did consult with SW and this is what they suggested. The LED bulbs are soft white at 2700K but there are lots of them. I was hoping someone had some ideas for a north facing kitchen.

would you mind posting an overall shot of the kitchen so we can see the whole mix of painted walls and cabinets? The question is, What is the best color to paint the walls as it is north facing?

Definitely warmer. I will definitely get a sample of Patience. I am not looking for warm like we had I just wanted it to look tan or a neutral beige but it went straight to light gray. I think it would be fine in my south facing front hall but it is shocking how gray it looks. Also the cabinets are casting more red than the brown they looked like with the old paint. I am not a newbie to painting this is our 7th house but I guess I never had such a north facing brightly lit room. Thank you everyone!

You need to stay away from grays. If you're trying to update from the tan color, I'd look at something much lighter - just a warm white. You could use the Alabaster color on your walls, or even consider a very light green like SW Liveable Green which would bring your outdoor colors inside. It's a neutral grayed green so it would work with your dark woods, but would look fresh. You don't really have much wall space in this room.

Thank you. I was staying away from grays this color is SW Natural Tan. The trim is currently alabaster, I was hoping to find something with and LRV in the low 70’s even high 60’s. I will look into a warmer white but I do like this green. Very pretty.
