You have NO room for a towel ring. I suggest you consider a hook to hang the hand towel from.

Place the towel rod on the wall across from the toilet and next to the shower. You might want to include a hood directly next to the shower.

Place some art on the wall over the toilet.

why on earth is an outlet placed in that position? you have one near the sink. do you need one above the toilet? w/a switch? horrible placement.

If you must have another outlet, make it even w/the countertop so it can't be seen. see if it can be moved.

then just do some art or shelving above the toilet.

if you can't do a towel bar, do a robe hook.

thank you, thank you Beth and Beverly. I know, I know about the outlet. It was not added, it was already there. Could ask my contractor about removing it or moving it (we added the other outlet before I decided I wanted the recessed shelves on that side wall). Just didn't ask to remove that one at the time b/c it is really perfect when I use the hair dryer. But I get that's it is the reason that space is so challenging.

I am redoing my bathroom with a similar footprint. I've never liked towel bars, so I'm going with 3 hooks and a towel ring. A hook will work nicely on that wall.

I ended up abandoning the idea of a towel ring or hook. Just put a small basket of "fingertip" towels on back of toilet and will have a basket for guests to toss their used towels next to the vanity. (I don't entertain much. . . it's mostly me and I have a hook with a towel on the back of the door.).

I was looking for red-orange towels. In this light, they may look more "red" than "red-orange" but I'm happy. (Right now, for whatever weird reason, orange is my favorite color.)

AND I found these picture ledges on etsy. They'll custom make the size you want. For now, I framed a few of my favorite pics that I took at the MO Botanical Garden. great! We just updated a very small powder room and found this horizontal towel bar 8” width. If you were able to move the outlet something like this might work.

It was online called Tempaper. We weren’t looking for a removable paper but liked the pattern. It is various shades of gray, almost black.
