I would start with new bedding. Possibly a crisp white with a fluffy duvet and shams. The current bedding looks a bit tired. The bed and rug are lovely - play it up.

New bedding and a new light for sure . Better lamps no Edison bulbs unless your guests want to go blind trying to read. The lamps need to be taller too. I like drapes in bedrooms for amuch more luxe feel Think 5 star hotel .. IMO the bed and night tables are better as it than painted for sure.

Really pretty space. I think you just need to bring it altogether. I’d add a bench. Some art. And really focus on the bed. It should look PLUSH. like you want to flop on it and stay there. Fluffy white linen. A throw blanket “thrown over “ tons of pillows. Even a tray on the edge with glasses and seltzer. And a couple towels. I’d also add a bench. The last thing I’d suggest is flipping the rug. Does it fit the other way??
Your room has the potential to look like a 5 star hotel. And I don’t say this very often. There are really pretty pieces to work with!! You did awesome so far!

If you take a look at blue master or guest bedrooms on Pinterest and Houzz, the pictures will really help with accessorizing. Layering bed is the most important, as it’s the key to build upon. Decide on the overall feel you want and try different combinations - two different looks below for example.

Jan Moyer is spot on with her suggestions...echoed by everyone else. Your room has good bones. In addition to all the suggestions about bedding, I say.... ART. Something you love.

I'd repaint the walls - they look like a grey with green undertones? I think I see that color in the rug, but I'd like to see them white.

Then I'd probably lean on the white and blue for bedding, as Jan showed. A lighter rattan/wicker bench might work with your chandelier and blinds. By lighter, I mean no darker than your chandelier beads.

I'd also choose lamps with a white ceramic base. The current lamps are pretty but very much fade away. A white base could help brighten the tables. Otherwise, try adding a few white vases, accents you might already have to help lighten the tables. Polished or brushed nickel pulls might lighten them too while working with your rug. Big box stores often have some pretty choices.

Thank you all so much and especially for lighting suggestions. I ended up with serena & lily white duvet with light blue , barely noticeable lines . Also appreciate the chair color direction. I got a leather chair from World Market but it’s too much brown in the room. This truly is the best forum.
