What to put behind wood stove to seal up chimney opening

We recently had a wood stove installed inside of a fireplace. The installer took out the flue and broke out several bricks inside the fireplace to run the wood stove pipe up the chimney. They didn't close up the opening around the pipe – they just stuffed some insulation into the opening.

Now we are getting mice into the house through this opening.

Looking for solutions to seal this up and was thinking an aluminum backing with a hole for the horizontal stove pipe could work.

Any recommendations? Is there a pre-made solution to this problem?
