Chips in new oven interior enamel

last modified: 5 years ago

After about 8 months of infrequent use, our new Bosch 800 induction range has 2 small chips (maybe dime size) on the interior black enamel on the bottom near the oven seal. A friend in the appliance business told us these may get larger and eventually rust. Not acceptable for this expensive range. The store we bought from sent their Bosch appliance repair company. The appliance repair place says Bosch should help cover it, and insists it’s only cosmetic. I’m feeling pessimistic that either will replace or repair. Does anyone know of a heat safe enamel repair paint that we could use to paint on, sort of like nail polish, to prevent rust or enlargement of the chips? Thanks for any suggestions.
