I have a house from 1949 with a wrap around, single story, family room and powder room addition on the back. It seems that the hallway that comes off of the original kitchen was possibly built over an old porch foundation. At the end of the hall is our powder room.

When we removed hedges a couple of years ago, we realized that the foundation wall of that side of the addition was ridiculous. The pipes that service the powder room toilet/sink freeze in the winter but the floor has been torn up and then the pipes were replaced with PEX and insulated, etc.

However, the bricks that are protruding from the side of the house can be physically pulled out with minimal effort. What needs to happen here? I'm going to wager that that wall needs to be rebuilt. Great.

Note: Don't be too disturbed by the pile of bricks along side the house. Those were living within the "bed" of dirt where the large hedges had been. You can see the roots and the discoloration on the siding where the trees/hedges were touching the house. It's a mess.
