solution needed for kitchen corner

Help! We're completely remodeling our small kitchen, and want to put a range and counters along the back wall (where hutch thing is currently in the pictures.) There is an unfortunate inward jog on the right side, creating an inverse corner, with a window in it. A normal height/depth counter would end halfway across the window, and be an inch or two higher than the bottom ledge of the window. (see last photo with mock up of counter depth/ height). I would love some ideas to make it look less weird! Caveats: Budget doesn't include resizing the window right now, and there isn't much wiggle room with the counter. Min 24 and max 30" so cutting counter short isn't ideal. Contractor suggests lowering counter height slightly and removing window frame to tile around it instead. Any other thoughts before I commit to that? Thank you!
