if you are certain about the change...it is fine..make sure it works w floor as the cabinets can handle a lot of different options. Also, make certain you are getting a good pricepoint as it is middle of the road as far as style/looks. Seeing more light counters /backsplashes lately, which I think is inherently a good classic move esp w trying to" update" . this .may leave you regretting not going altogether lighter and w a cleaner look. It does go, technically....but be certain.

Do you love it? I don't hear any excitement in your post, counters top are a big purchase...might as well dream about it.
