My understanding is that it's easier to tell the difference when you put it side-by-side with your marble queen. In addition to variegation, I understand there is some difference in leaf shape. Costa Farms has a decent discussion on it here.

Gabriella plants also sells Jessenia. Maybe the pictures here will help you.

If I had to take a guess on the one pictured, I would say it's marble queen. But I am not an expert.

Let us know what you conclude!

P.S. No judgment, but I have never really understood the allure of Jessenia. To me, it sort of looks sickly rather than variegated. However, I do understand collecting enough to know that once you get into it, you want them all! :-)

I agree most people who are selling Jessina online do have plants that just look green and weird and misshapen. That's why when I saw these I jumped on them because they were so gorgeous. I am in love with Pothos and Scindapsus so I've been trying to collect all of them. I picked one of my marble queens that has almost the exact same coloring for comparison. You can see that there's an obvious difference between the two. I really appreciate you and your help trying to identify it:)

That last article that you sent a link for I think finalizes it. I'm almost positive that it is Jessina now:). Let me know what you think from the pictures :-).

When I see it compared to your marble queen, I tend to agree that it is Jessenia. I guess you have to wait to see. It also looks a lot like golden pothos.

I understand the want to collect them all. I have Global Green pothos (or at least I think that's what it is!) and I have to tell you it is a huge disappointment. You have to squint to even see the variegation.

I just bought a manjula and it is gorgeous!

I also have Cebu Blue and NJoy.

I am also obsessed with scindapsus varieties. I really love Jade Satin. I have a small one but would buy another if a larger one came along.

I guess that's just the fun of having plants is waiting to see what they do. Either way I love it. Your manjula pothos is ridiculously adorable. Consider yourself lucky that you got a large one from Costa farms because where I live we only get the tiny costa farms plants and they are a horrible selection. I have every variety of photos except for manjula and global green so I'm very jealous haha. Scindapsus I have argyraeus, silvery ann, Exotica, and silver splash. I think of all my 50 plants Exotica is my favorite. Which store did you get your manjula at?

Exotica is one of the most lovely plants I know. The leaves are splendid!

I managed to get the Manjula at a Lowe's about 2 months ago. I wanted a small 4" one. I saw them last year and didn't pick one up. I walked into Lowe's two months ago and saw this huge manjula and decided I'd be a fool not to grab it. I can always divide it later if I decide it's too big. But why would I? Haha. It's glorious!

I have an exotica that has a couple of really long vines that I want to chop and prop. What's your tip on that?

That's okay I like people who talk. I found that water propagations are my least favorite, but still works as long as you replace the water every day. You can also root in Spagnum Moss with a small amount of liquid plant fertilizer. To be honest my favorite method as long as the nodes have the little black bumps (aerial roots) starting; is to put them straight into damp soil with medium indirect light. I kept the soil damp for two weeks and now I water when the soil is pretty much dry. They are growing like weeds lol. fun one I tried was laying the vine across the top of soil and pinning it down. Each node started growing its roots down in to the soil. Then I cut in between each node and repotted. The last method takes a little bit longer but I've had 100% success rate with it. Hope this helps :-).

Oh that does help. Especially the 'laying down on top of soil" idea. I have some long vines of exotica as well as NJoy that I would like to create small prop plants to give, sell or trade when the weather turns nicer.
