Aglaonema.

Oh, wow ... Yes. Thank you so much. I didn’t make the connection but the leaf is that of an Aglaonema or “Chinese Evergreen”. The coloration completely threw me off.

I had one of these for 25 years in New York so I’m familiar with caring for them. I gave that one away to my sister-in-law when I moved to the Caribbean. Of course she killed it ... Not an easy task. 😂

care may be different in the Caribbean.. then it was indoors in nyc ...

anything with white leaf tissue might need shade with the more intense sun so much closer to the equator .. especially during mid day when sun is most intense ...

Thank you, Ken. In NY, my Chnese Evergreen was on top of a wall unit, on the corner closest to the window. I watered weekly in summer (feeding every 2 months) and 2x month Sept-Apr.

I keep these in the gallery/atrium, which is a 2nd floor open air garden with the walls of a 3rd floor above it. There it receives all day bright light but little to no direct sunlight.

I have these in the same high drainage soil I use for my bromeliads, hoyas, terrestrial orchids, adeniums, and plumeria, so it’s fine under the rains. Of course, I’ll feed these monthly at 1/2 strength. Our area has very high humidity and it seems to love just where I have it ... It’s grown tremendously in one month.
