I would do so if their soil is dry. We have had a very dry month, and I am concerned that we might have another droughtly year.

To determine whether plants need watering look at the plants. Do they show any signs of being thirsty? If you’re still not sure check the soil at dept, not on the surface. Watering isn't done by a timetable. Only you can decide if watering is necessary because we can’t see the plants or soil.

I watered today, even with small amounts of rain in the forecast. It's very dry for March here as I've said on other threads. My plants/bulbs are very much less vigorous than they were last year. The crocus are puny. Hellebores, are barely an inch off the ground with buds but again just not looking lively and vigorous. I am watering with a nozzle and just spot watering what I think could use something. Just started, not going to put the sprinklers on. Definitely going to put the rain barrels in place this weekend.
