Furniture Design Dilemma Dining Room

Help with choosing dining table size

Hi! I’m looking for help in choosing a dining table shape and size for this area. I would like the table to be as big as possible and seat as many as possible while allowing for enough room on all sides as access is needed on all sides. I know it’s not a big area so I would appreciate your help. The pantry to the patio doors is 12 ft 5 inches and the edge of the kitchen island to where the carpet begins is 12 ft 3 inches. Thanks so much in advance :)

You could fit a rectangle of around 40" X 72" that would seat six, and possibly add a leaf as one option.

The second option and the one that was suggested on your other thread, and the one that I personally would lean towards would be a round pedestal table of 54 - 60", preferably with a leaf. The 60" should seat 8, but still allow for good flow for every day. The extra leaf can be used for larger gatherings and holidays.

I think the round option mentioned in the other thread was 68”??

I made a rough floor plan to show you how the round 68" table with 6 chairs will fit in the space. My concern is that the clearance especially for getting in and out of the pantry and to the slider is not the 3' you might normally want. You could make it work but it's a bit tight.
