First off Beautiful choice and I think it could work. Not sure how high your ceiling is to the clearance above your door as it looks like that is where it will end.

If you had enough vertical space, this may be another option for you. it is a little wider but also linger. Either choice will be beautiful a update.

The stairway in the reference photo is much (much) narrower than your foyer. I think you will be happier with something that is wider - at least at the top, even if it tappers like a chainmeil design. If you like contemporary, other options would include round sphere shaped, multiple spheres of different lengths, multiple rings, or a sputnik design.

I need to see the rest of the home and its style since that new choice is not for a traditional space and you better make sure all the bulbs are LEDs 4000K to make that sparkle and also how will you clean it down the road . IMO changing the front door to something a bit less builder grade might help make that chandelier work better too.

Your home is traditional and although I think you can push the envelope, I'm not sure going so very modern in the solution.

I agree with the others. What about that comment: "Totally worth 4 hours of installation" ? Four hours?

Where I live, help to hang chandeliers is expensive. Worker (only licensed/bonded/insured, due to working at height like that), probably would need a helper, due to the "four hours" warning. That would end up being one expensive chandelier. Is it cleanable with a swiffer on an extension pole? That would be my first concern, unless you have household staff to do such things. I do not allow my housekeeper to step on a chair, much less a ladder.

I would keep looking. As amazing as that chandelier is, it is much too opulent for that entry.

If you are not looking to change the inside style of the house to be modern luxury then I would look at some other options
