We're planning to have all our closets redone to make them more functional with built-ins. Most of them are reach-ins, and the master is a small walk-in (about three steps long). The house has beige wall-to-wall carpeting which extends into the closets. Since the wall-to-wall carpeting won't be replaced with hard wood or laminate for another two years, my question is how to proceed with the closet flooring now. Get the closets done but leave the floors alone until the wall-to-wall carpeting is removed? Install hardwood or laminate flooring in the closets during closet renovation? Thanks for your suggestions.
