Beginner with woodworking/building.

Hello, we have recently decided to turn our mud room into a laundry room. we have everything set into place well kind of, however since looking into ideas i have decided that i want to do as much of the remodeling as i can. I also have lots of little side projects that need to be done around my house as well, like building a chicken coop.
but here's the thing, i am a very creative person, but know nothing about building furniture/ home renovations. so if you have any tips please help me out.

If your local adult education has a woodshop class, enroll.

The signal to noise ratio on the internet is very low. Perhaps if you posted pictures, posted your objectives/Statement of Work, you could get some viable input, vs people guessing.

My tip is to investigate some great diy blogs. Just google diy home improvement blogs.

I've looked at Pretty Handy Girl and Centsational Girl.

Good suggestions above, I'll add thisiscarpentry.com. You say you're good at the creative part, design is very important. I'm good at the technical part - the carpentry, and wish I had better design skills.
