Can you show a broader view of the whole kitchen? Now and new plan.

Suggestion to consider what the appliances are used for and where you will likely use them. For example, my appliances tend to be closer to stove and food prep counter than to my sink and clean up area.

You’re looking at the whole kitchen!!😂 The whole kitchen is 8 x 15. This was really the only spot left in the kitchen. We opted not to move the sink. If we had we’d be looking at the driveway instead of the pocket garden. It’s a 1790s home very small. Just wondering if it looks too squished. I could do away with the garage below the cabinets then I have my small appliances out on the counter. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Understood! I drew my idea for you in your new photo. I don’t think you are going to lose much in the way of cabinetry, and one rarely uses the corner of the countertop. I think your kitchen will appear more open with the appliance garage on the left - but it has to work for you! This would just be my preference :)

I love your idea unfortunately i think it would be too close to the stove. Would you still keep upper cabinet to the right of sink?

I’m beginning to think that maybe we should just get rid of the garage. That way I can put a small appliances wherever I feel is the best workspace.

In a small kitchen with limited countertop space, the appliance garage doesn’t make sense to me. Visually, it closes the space, so that’s another reason.

Thanks for all the input. We have decided not to go with appliance garage. Thrilled with our decision. Now for the floors.....

Put the appliances where you have space to use them and install a double outlet in the same location. You may save money by putting the larger counter appliances next to outlets and keeping the hand mixer and wand blender in the cabinet.
