Used to have so many Bob over the years but have been downsizing as my palate dictated which ones to keep etc.

Life is a journey -

Last July had total of 3 stents put in during two separate procedures at hospital.

Very long family history of heart problems on the male side, my older brother at the time long ago was only 42

Anyways i still can eat figs (strict diet) just now i grow maybe 6 a few of those replacement babies

How is your season so far did it begin yet?

During the old days, Gardenweb, my username was persimmon bob, there is only one With that u,n. I had a couple of stents last year put in. I am trying to slow down. Did downsizing last year, will continue this year if health hold up.

I am in the process cleaning my property, it’s a huge project.

This is how I am doing with my little 3x3x9 feel low greenhouse or Christmas lights on for night.

The other night was 24 F, inside greenhouse was 39 F, it scared me so I added a few stronger light bulbs.

This are fig trees on palleto n wheels buding.

39* is very safe for figs. Whatever works, your figs are happy. It’s better to start small.

As far as forums, lots of members is great but it sure contracts some crazies.

Are you planting fig tree in 500 gl ?

No, Bluemoon, that tank is filled with rainwater, that’s a what I use a lot for my citrus and figs and what not, Blueberry,s to. I mix it with wellwater for figs. Rainwater is very acidic, 5.5 ph. For figs,I like to stay around 6 ph. If you use a lot of pinebark, which is acidic, you might want to go to 6.5.

Why is it every time I go to my local greenhouse they have trees coming out of dormancy with lots of Breba figs and I have the same trees and none!

I bought the very same figs from the same guy, his are loaded and mine nothing, just leaves coming..I don't get it(((
